On September 22, we joined many teams for a family oriented, community event to raise funds and awareness of blood cancer. We walked in honor of our friend and co-worker, Craig V. It was a beautiful and fun evening, and the clear skies were the perfect backdrop for the illuminated balloons. Because of the combined efforts of the teams and individual walkers, LLS proudly reported that the Minneapolis walk was able to raise approximately $650,000. Similar walks have been held throughout the US and Canada. Thanks to the participants, LLS has been able to raise $60 million to help fund the research that’s saving the lives of blood cancer patients every day.
